Introduction

The first WDCC hosted by Shanghai Municipal People's Government was officially opened on September 15. Gong Zheng, mayor of Shanghai, lit up the starter. Xu Xiaolan, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wu Qing, executive vice mayor of Shanghai, and Qu Xing, deputy director-general of UNESCO delivered speeches. Zhang Wei, vice mayor of Shanghai, attended.

The theme of the WDCC in this year was "Design without Boundaries, Integration and Symbiosis", aiming to create an international first-class cooperation and exchange grand event in the field of design. China Haisum participated as a strategic partner of the WDCC.

At the opening ceremony, internationally renowned designers and entrepreneurs gave advice on the construction of Shanghai Design City online, and industry leaders discussed the ecology of industrial design. Meanwhile, its Overseas Exhibition was held at the Galerie Joseph in the center of Paris to create an international grand event with integrated Chinese and Western design.

At the same time, China Haisum hosted the Design Enabling Industry Development Summit Forum, with the theme of "Intelligent Engineering · Beautiful Life", where dozens of experts in the field of digital economy and light industry attended to exchange ideas and technologies on digital design, coordinated development of digitalization and industrialization, organizational management innovation, and improvement of independent core infrastructure software and hardware.

At the Forum, An Shengjie, member of the Party Committee and assistant general manager of China Poly Group and secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Poly Sinolight, Zhao Guo'ang, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of China Haisum, and Chen Rongrong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of China Haisum, attended and delivered speeches.

An Shengjie, member of the Party Committee and assistant general manager of China Poly Group and secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of Poly Sinolight, said that Poly Sinolight, as a central enterprise, had always followed the national strategy, committed to promoting scientific and technological innovation and digital transformation in the engineering industry, insisted on technological innovation as an important support to promote high-quality and sustainable development of enterprises, and improved the core competitiveness of the market. He hoped that through the Forum, it could integrate superior resources and cross-border integration with industry experts, improve engineering service ability by taking process technology as the core and digital transformation as the means, fully enable industrial innovation, improve industrial energy level, and provide suggestions for scientific and technological innovation and digital transformation of China's engineering industry.

Zhao Guo'ang, chief economist of Poly Sinolight and secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of China Haisum, delivered a keynote speech at the Forum. He introduced the development history of the light industry, shared the scenario cases and future development trends of intelligent engineering in the light industry, and hoped that through the Forum, the industry development trend in the digital era and the needs of various industries for engineering design would be discussed in depth, and the bridge between industrial upgrading and engineering design would be built, to give play to the platform functions of the Conference and promote the construction of the "City of Design".

Chen Rongrong, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee and president of China Haisum and president of China Engineering Construction Association of Light Industry, delivered a keynote speech, with the theme of Contributing to A Better Life with Intelligent Engineering, and shared digital transformation essence, future development logic, engineering design enabling industry development and other contents.

Several top entrepreneurs and industry experts were invited to share the wisdom of digital transformation.

Kang Xiao, senior product director of the Industrial Energy Product Department of China Mobile Shanghai Industrial Research Institute, believed that 5G and other new technologies had played a revolutionary role in the digital transformation of enterprises, and shared the new model of industrial Internet for digital transformation;

Cao Zhaolian, deputy general manager of Shanghai Government-Enterprise Business Department of Huawei and general manager of the Large Enterprise Development Department, emphasized the key role of digitalization in creating new models and developing new markets, and introduced Huawei's technical advantages in smart building solutions;

Lv Jinhan, general manager of green intelligent manufacturing consulting business of Schneider Electric (China), believed that digital transformation was an important means for sustainable development of enterprises, and discussed how to build a new cooperation model for intelligent factories;

Peng Wu, president of Digital Design BG Research Institute of Glodon Company Limited, shared the view that digital change could accelerate the rapid development of design enterprises;

Fu Yuan, founder and chairman of Shanghai Youye Information Technology Co., Ltd., explained the driving role of digital twins in energy conservation and carbon reduction in various industries.

In addition, heads of OJI (Jiangsu), PPG, Guangxi Sugar Industry, Innovent Biologics , Shanghai Pudong Investment Holding and other enterprises also discussed the design needs of intelligent factories, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced in the digitalization new era in the field of engineering construction, and contributed wisdom to promoting the high-quality development of engineering industry.
